What is Kybella?
Kybella is an approved product used in a non-surgical injection technique to treat the appearance of a double chin. The treatment involves a series of injections to the targeted area. Kybella is synthetic form of deoxycholic acid, a bile acid that is naturally produced in your body. This acid will destroy the fat cells under your chin area so the cells will no longer be capable of storing fat.
What to Expect with Kybella Treatments
Kybella treatments are performed in the comfortable and private surroundings at Bella MedSpa. Each Kybella treatment takes around 15-20 minutes. You will meet with your service provider to discuss your medical history and any cosmetic procedures you may have had on your chin, neck or face. There is little preparation for Kybella treatment, since it is a non-surgical procedure.
How it Works
When you arrive for your Kybella treatment, your provider will mark the injection site and administer a topical numbing agent to ease any discomfort. You will typically receive between 20-50 Kybella injections under your chin. Over the weeks following your treatment, Kybella will gradually kill fat cells in the targeted area under your chin. The fat cells are then absorbed into the body. Your Bella MedSpa service provider will recommend the number of treatments you need to achieve optimal results.
